Flights
For our French Alps and Provence tour, the easiest would be to get
outbound flight tickets to Geneva (GVA), and inbound from Marseille (MRS),
as we provide transfer from Geneva at the beginning, and to Marseille
at the end of the trip. However, many other options, less direct,
are available that might fit your needs. Please note that you can also
fly into and out of Paris, taking a high-speed train from Paris to Annecy
and from Marseilles.
Outbound (From your home country to Annecy):
The closest airport to Annecy (where our trip begins) is
Geneva (GVA). Airlines operating to and from GVA are
Air Canada,
Air France,
Alitalia,
American Airlines,
British Airways,
Continental,
Delta Airlines,
KLM,
Lufthansa,
Swiss International,
United Airlines,
Virgin Atlantic.
Please note that the transfer from GVA airport to Annecy is
included in the price of the trip.
The second closest airport to Annecy is Lyon (LYS). Airlines operating
to and from LYS are: Air France, Alitalia, British Airways, KLM and
Lufthansa (often operates with United Airlines). Unfortunately, we do
not provide pick up service at LYS airport, but will gladly help you
arrange the transfer.
You can also fly into Paris: there are two international airports in Paris:
Roissy-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Orly (ORY)
Inbound (From Avignon to your home country):
The closest airport to Avignon (where our trip ends) is Marseille (MRS).
Airlines operating to and from MRS are: Air France, Alitalia,
British Airways, KLM and Lufthansa (often operates with United Airlines).
Please note that the transfer from Avignon to MRS is included in
the price of the trip.
The second closest airport for Avignon is Nice (NCE). Airlines operating
to and from NCE are Air France, Alitalia, American Airlines, British Airways,
Continental, Delta Airlines, Lufthansa, Swiss International, United Airlines.
Unfortunately, we do not provide drop off service at NCE airport, but will
gladly help you arrange the transfer.

Trains
The French National Railroads'
(Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer or SNCF)
network of inter-city rail links provides frequent express and high-speed
train service known as the TGV or "Train à Grande Vitesse". The price of
train travel in France depends on whether you choose first or second class,
as well as on the time and date of travel.
Annecy, Avignon and Marseilles are linked by the high speed train to some major
airports, as well as many other cities in France. The high-speed train
from Paris to Annecy takes approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes, with many convenient times
and is relatively inexpensive with a fare of 62 Euros. Going back from Marseilles to Paris will
only take you 3 hours with a fare of 73 Euros.
